Anton Shakirov is the Founder and CEO of Lex, an innovative company specializing in high-speed pumping solutions. He oversees strategic execution and international business development, leveraging more than 20 years of industry experience, a strong engineering foundation, a global perspective, and extensive international sales expertise. Before establishing Lex, Anton worked in Thailand as Global Manager at PumpTek, where he led the Artificial Lift Department. Through his efforts, the company successfully expanded into 14 new national markets within just three years, with assets growing exponentially from zero to USD 18 million.

Earlier in his career, Anton worked in the Middle East, including Oman, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia, initially as an engineer and later as Technical Expertise Executive at Alkhorayef Petroleum Company. His professional journey began in Russia (West Siberia and the Caspian region) at Borets International, where he held the role of Lead Oil Optimization Engineer. In collaboration with renowned Russian petroleum professor Mishenko—recipient of the American Biographical Institute Gold Medal for Person of the Year (1994, 1997)—Anton contributed to the development of a formula for natural separation efficiency in downhole radial-type intakes. This formula has since been incorporated into IHS SubPump Software, a widely recognized industry standard.

Anton is a member of API, SPE Symposium USA Gulf Coast, ESP Symposium Middle East, and the SPE Cyprus Section. He is an alumnus of Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas, specializing in Oil and Gas Field Development. Holding a PhD, he has authored more than 30 publications and is the holder of 10 US patents.
